The Sentinel Owners & Pilots Association is an informal group of over 100 enthusiasts devoted to the history, preservation and enjoyment of the Stinson L-5 Sentinel, popularly known as the “Flying Jeep”. Founded in 2001, our group is devoted to preserving and flying these unique planes and commemorating the pilots and organizations who flew them in military service during WWII and the Korean conflict.
With participants in nine countries, our members include owners, pilots, mechanics, restorers, modelers, and even a few relatives of veterans who were associated with the L-5 during it’s military career.
Come join us. It’s a great group of folks helping each other to keep these old warbirds flying and educate others about its interesting and unique history. For additional information, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Thank you for visiting.
