I thought I would start a topic where we can all post examples of items furnished with the L-5. Along with posting the photos also include which aircraft registrations it applies to and any other info you may know about it.

G’day Matt,
Are you looking to buy these or sell? or
Are you posting to show us an example of what a Type A-1 & Type A5 look like?

I am only posting original examples for reference for others who are looking for info to complete their restorations. I also encourage other members to post their original examples.

These flare reproductions are made by:
Marshall does reproduction WWII firearm items. I have one of his flares and have ordered several more to place in the flare container bag that Matt mentioned previously.

Charles: Marshall must be doing those via special request. They aren’t listed on his website.

Craig-
His first batch was for the WWII project Bill Barclay’s company was working on. Marshall will be glad to make some for others upon request. I’ll nudge him to put examples on his website.

Matt: In your quest for furnishings, would you happen to have run across a copy of the message bag drawing? I managed to find a bag recently, but would like to have several more for my project. I can work up a drawing to make some, but thought I’d put the question out here and a couple other boards before I sat down and started on one.

If you are referring to 76-63073 Bag Misc. Equipment which attaches to the back of the wooden observers seat then yes there is a factory drawing for it. It has the dimensions needed for each piece to make a complete bag and shows assembly.

Matt: Actually looking for the drawing for the Drop bags. A friend has found the drawing for the later and larger version and is going to send a copy. He’s going to see if he can find the drawings for the smaller A-1 as well.
