Tee Nuts

I will soon need a complete set of Rectanglar Tee Nuts or what ever was original to the pilot and observer doors. Mine did not have any originals to use for matching so not entirely sure what shape-style is correct. Would like to know a source for them.

I agree with Craig Cantwell.

I use:

Their description–
“These nuts have a long barrel for secure thread engagement. Weld them to flat uncoated steel surfaces for a strong permanent hold. They can be used in channels and tight spaces where round-base weld nuts won’t fit. Zinc-plated steel weld nuts resist corrosion in wet environments.For technical drawings and 3-D models, click on a part number.”

They work well. They do not have the dimples of the original, but I use a center punch and a drilled anvil block to “install” my own. They come in 6-32, 8-32 and 10-32.  I will get them replated if they are visible but use “as is”if getting painted.

Thanks that sounds like a good solution. I think I need 18 per door and 9 for front windshield center brace for the observer model. So 45 total.
