Nice! Was that the stock one from McFarlane or did they make a custom one for you?
Bill
Great info! Thanks Sam and Matt!

Craig, did you ever have a chance to pull out your fluorescent light power supply and snap some photos?
Thanks,
Bill
Beautiful airplane!

Here’s what you need. I bought a pair and they were worth the money.

Thanks Sam, Craig and Jim. I appreciate your answers. I recently weighed my L-5E-1 and she actually lost weight compared to the last W&B and that was after I installed original WWII receiver and transmitter, a modern fire extinguisher and new ELT that weighs more than the one I took out. I can’t find any record of the last time she was actually on a set of scales, so all the past W&B info is only as good as the person’s math skills that did them. Current empty weight is 1554.5 lbs CG is at 14.65, comfortably within limits. I go by the FAA TCDS info since that is what is legal.
Thanks,
Bill Gorin
Thanks Sam! I’m in Dallas, so I’ll swing by and see John and the mutts at Lance. I appreciate the info and the tips!
Thanks,
Bill
I am willing to chip in to get a run made if that becomes an option. I need an antenna for mine.

Sorry, just getting back to catching up on the SOPA forums. Thanks James and Craig for the info. Craig, can you post pictures or drawings of your power supply or email them to me bill.gorin@gmail.com. I’ll look at the V-77 cross reference info and check with the Stinson Owners Club. We happen to have a V-77 in the museum where I keep my plane, so I may go check it out and talk to the owner.

Good info! Thanks James and John!

It looks amazing! I have OY-1 BuNo 03918, we are practically sister ships! Mine is currently in the Marine blue paint scheme, but when I re-restore it in a few years I am going back to the OD/Gray paint scheme since it is more accurate for what my airplane wore when it was in service.

Thanks Sam,
Great info. I just sent Alliance Coatings an email.

Sorry, for some reason the bullet points I put in my post don’t seem to be showing up. They are;
Zinc Chromate Primer (AN-TT-P-656) 1.0 Gallon
Enamel, black (Specification AN-E-3) 0.1 gallon
Toluene Substitute AN-T-8 1.0 Gallon
